Shadow Music by Julie Garwood
I have read this book before, I am actually pretty sure I own it in hardcover form but I couldn't find it. When I saw the paperback at the grocery store I bought it without thinking because it looked new and I love Julie Garwood!
But I have in fact read it before. It was still good though. I am sure I said this in my last review but it is nice to see Julie going back to writing historical scottish novels. They are by far her best. Although this was not one of the better ones, I am willing to cut her a little slack because she hasn't written one in so long. Hopefully this will be the first of many!

No. 2: It Happened One Night
It Happened One Night by Stephanie Laurens, Mary Balogh, Jacquie D'Alessandro and Candice Hern
This book had an interesting concept - it is four novellas and the authors decided in advance to write using the same plot - a man and a woman who have not seen each other for 10 years meet again when they find them selves staying at an in for a 24 hour period. Using this plot the authors then decided to write their own stories.
I have read books by Stephanie Laurens and liked them, and I am a huge Mary Balogh fan so I was not surprised that I enjoyed those stories the most. I didn't love them, but I thought they were good. I actually think I liked Stephanie Laurens' better, but they were both good.
I thought the D'Alessandro novella was okay. Not great but not bad. But I was not a fan of the Candice Hern story. I didn't like the dialogue, the plot is one I am not a fan of (the woman used to be a prostitue and I hate that). But I thought the idea was so interesting that the 4 stories were so different.

No. 1: The Lost Duke of Wyndham
The Lost Duke of Wyndham by Julia Quinn
This was kind of weird because it is the exact same book as the last one I read, but from a different character's perspective. I bet it was easy to write because most of the dialogue and descriptions were copy and paste from the last book. But it was still good and still pretty funny. I liked the first one better, I am not sure if it was because the plot was fresh, or not, but both books were good.

No. 141: Mr. Cavindish, I Presume

I got this book a couple of months ago but didn't get around to reading it until now. I really enjoyed it, it was very very funny, and a different plot than I have read before. I have read quite a few books by this author and enjoyed them all, but this one seems funnier than the others. I also discovered that there is another book connected to this book, about the Duke of Wyndham that shows up in this book and takes over the title. I can't wait to read it too!

No. 140: Fearless 14 (2)
Fearless Fourteen by Janet Evanovich
I have not had much time for reading lately, but I spotted this book when I was looking for something to do while I was feeding Avery on Christmas Eve. It was a good book the first time and good the second time, very funny like all her books are. I got some good books for Christmas so hopefully I will get some time to read soon.

This is the last book in the Sign of Seven trillogy - I thought it was pretty good. I actually finished it a few days ago but I couldn't think of what to write about it. I still can't. So, I will say - it was good. If I think of anything else I will post it.
