No. 28: The Immortal Highlander

The Immortal Highlander by Karen Marie Moning

This is the book I have been waiting for, the one about Adam Black. He has been a recurring character in this series, sometimes bad, sometimes good. This book is about what happens when after he is forced to do some crazy faery thing to save Daegus and as a result he looses his power and also the Fae queen makes him human-ish and also invisible. But, luckily for him there is a woman in Cincinatti who is a sidhe-seer, which, if you remember from the Fever series, is a person who can see the Fae. Because Adam is not invisible to a sidhe-seer. So anyway, they fall in lust/love blah blah blah, go to Scotland, blah blah blah, meet the MacKeltars, vanquish their enemy, Adam disapears, FMC falls into a deep depression blah blah blah. But lucky for everyone, Adam comes back and they get married and live happily ever after. Hooray!

I don't know if there are going to be more books in this series. In one of the books the author references a plan of Queen Aiboheal regarding making a certain number of MacKelter druids live in the present (instead of the past where they belong) so maybe this is going to be connected to the fever series? I recall a character called Christian MacKeltar and a reference to his uncles who are druids (Drustan and Daegus perhaps?) I don't know. Maybe I will have to check the internets.
