No. 33: For the Love of Pete

For the Love of Pete by Julia Harper

I bought this book entirely because of the title. I used to have a chair named Pete, and I named that chair Pete because of the phrase "Oh for the love of Pete!" So when I saw this book, I had to buy it.

As it turns out, this was a good book! Lucky me! The plot was interesting, the FMC teams up with an FBI agent to try and find a kidnapped baby named Pete. The mafia is involved and there are many shootouts which I enjoyed. There was also a very funny couple of old Indian ladies that completely cracked me up. There was a secondary kidnapping - also maybe a re-kidnapping. So it was funny and good. I will have to see if this author has any more books.
